1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing, or using the Stepway Online platform (website, mobile application, or API), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
2. Eligibility
To use Stepway Online services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a resident of India with a valid mobile number and KYC documents.
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Not be barred from receiving services under applicable Indian law.
3. Our Services
Stepway Online is a financial product aggregation and distribution platform. We facilitate:
- Application submission for credit cards, personal loans, and insurance products.
- Comparison of products from partner banks and NBFCs.
- BC (Business Correspondent) services including AEPS and money transfer.
- Agent onboarding, training, and commission management.
Stepway Online acts as an intermediary and does not itself provide credit, insurance, or banking products. All products are issued by respective regulated financial institutions.
4. Agent Terms
Agents registered on Stepway Online agree to the following additional terms:
- Agents must complete KYC verification before submitting any customer application.
- Agents must not misrepresent products, fabricate customer information, or engage in any fraudulent activity.
- Commission rates are determined by Stepway Online and partner institutions and may change without prior notice.
- Commissions are payable only upon successful disbursal or issuance as confirmed by the partner institution.
- Stepway Online reserves the right to withhold or clawback commissions in cases of fraud, mis-selling, or early loan closure as per partner policies.
- Agent accounts found in violation of these terms may be suspended or permanently terminated.
5. User Obligations
All users of the platform agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of their account credentials.
- Not use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit any part of the platform.
- Notify Stepway Online immediately of any unauthorized use of their account.
6. Intellectual Property
All content on the Stepway Online platform including logos, trademarks, text, graphics, software, and data is the exclusive property of Stepway Online Fintech India Private Limited and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction or distribution is strictly prohibited.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Stepway Online shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use our platform.
- Stepway Online does not guarantee approval of any credit card, loan, or insurance application. Approval decisions rest solely with the respective financial institution.
- Stepway Online is not responsible for any delay, error, or omission by partner banks, insurers, or NBFCs.
- Our total liability in any case shall not exceed the commission or fee paid by the user to Stepway Online in the preceding three months.
8. Termination
Stepway Online reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms & Conditions.
- Fraudulent or suspicious activity.
- Non-compliance with KYC or regulatory requirements.
- Any action that harms Stepway Online, its partners, or other users.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting our support team. Pending commissions, if any, will be settled as per the standard payout cycle and subject to verification. Refunds, cancellations, and commission reversals are covered in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
9. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India. We encourage users to first attempt resolution through our support team, and to raise formal complaints with our Grievance Officer (details and timelines in Privacy Policy §10), before pursuing legal action.
