AEPS Cash

Give customers Aadhaar-based cash withdrawal at your outlet.

What it is

AEPS (Aadhaar Enabled Payment System) lets your customers withdraw cash from their bank account using only their Aadhaar number and fingerprint — no card, no PIN. As a partner you run the transaction on a biometric device at your outlet.

Who it's for

Retailers and neighbourhood outlets serving customers who bank through Aadhaar, especially in semi-urban and rural areas where ATMs are far away.

Your role as a partner

You start the withdrawal on the platform, the customer authenticates with their fingerprint, and you pay out the cash from your float. Limits and settlement follow NPCI and the sponsor bank's rules.

  1. 1

Customer shares their Aadhaar number and selects their bank

  2. 2

You enter the amount on the AEPS platform

  3. 3

Customer authenticates with their fingerprint on the biometric device

  4. 4

The transaction is processed through the NPCI network

  5. 5

You hand over the cash and earn commission on the withdrawal
